Andrew (Drew) Foster and Katie Denning meet (or re-meet) each other at a Halloween party hosted by Denver Blizard star Beckett Miller (TAMING BECKETT, Playmakers #1). Beckett is Drew’s brother-in-law T.J. Shanstrom’s (THIRD MAN IN, Playmaker #2) hockey teammate. His sister is Natalie (Foster) Shanstrom. Katie works for Paige (Anderson) Miller (Beckett’s wife).

Drew and Katie were in costume when they met at the party. They did not recognize each other and were more relaxed around each other because they were hidden behind a mask. If anything, this book was worth reading for the costumes. The costumes in this story were hilarious, creative, and entertaining.

I enjoyed the characters. Drew owns a small IT business. He plays beer-league hockey. Katie is fun. They are both dog lovers/owners, but there are issues with pack dynamics when they all meet.

I liked the Rinkside analogy. Both Drew and Katie hang out with professional hockey players, but they are sort of on the outside looking in, Rinkside.

LOVE RINKSIDE is a heartfelt enjoyable read. It is a great addition to the Playmakers series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
