My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Jami Davenport is on a winning streak with book four in the Portland Icehawks series, INTERFERING. I have been looking forward to Heidi’s and Trent’s story. Portland Icehawk's player Trent Sullivan has been interested in Heidi Lawson since he met her. However, she is a sex trafficking survivor, and he knows he needs to pursue her with caution.
We met Heidi through Everly (REBOUNDING, Portland Icehawks #1) and Leila. We learn a lot more about Heidi in this story. We discover what happened to Heidi when she disappeared in the previous book. We also got to know Trent better. His sisters invade his home and start an animal rescue. They are not fans of Heidi’s and cause issues. I love all he animals, especially Hogan, the Great Dane cross.
I appreciated that this story includes characters from the previous books and continues with their stories. Briggs Pierce’s and Michella’s (ROUGHING, Portland Icehawks #3) wedding takes place in this story. We also hear more from Aspen (DEFENDING, Portland Icehawks #2).
INTERFERING was a thought-provoking and heartwarming read. I enjoyed the characters and the plot. It was an excellent addition to the Portland Icehawks series. I am looking forward to Jason Wilder’s and Addison’s story, PENALIZING. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
