Delancey Stewart lights the lamp with THE WEDDING WINGER (The Zamboni Diaries #1). Wilcox Wombats right winger Sylvester (Sly) Remington heads home for the summer. He does not expect his high school crush, Clara Connor, to be living next door. She is a single mom with a daughter, Katie.
I love that both Clara and Sly had crushes on each other in high school but thought they were out of each other’s league, Clara being smart and Sly the star athlete. They both have some insecurities they deal with in this story. I love Clara’s job. She is a biologist tracking bear. Katie is adorable. I appreciated how good Sylvester is with her.
THE WEDDING WINGER is a heartfelt and entertaining second chance romance. Like CHECKING THE CENTER (The Zamboni Diaries #0.5), THE WEDDING WINGER starts out with the insight of Julius Ramon, the Wilcox Wombat’s Zamboni Driver. It is an excellent addition to The Zamboni Diaries series. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
