S.R. Grey starts out strong with book one in the Breakaway Hockey series, HAYDEN. Hayden Harrington is traded from Chicago to the Atlanta Thunder expansion team after it is discovered that Hayden was hooking up with the coach’s daughter. To add insult to injury the person who ratted him out, Addison Knight, just started a job in the Thunder public relations department and has been assigned to work with him. If you enjoy enemies to lovers’ hockey romances, you will want to pick up this book.
The banter and chemistry between Hayden and Addison are entertaining. There is never a dull moment in this story. The book is skillfully written and well laid out. The characters are dimensional and likable. I am looking forward to book two, ARDEN, releasing October 2023. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
