Flopper (Vegas Venom Book 1) by Colleen Charles Review

Flopper (Vegas Venom Book 1)Flopper by Colleen Charles
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Colleen Charles hits it in the net with the first book in the Vegas Venom series, FLOPPER. In this story, Vegas Venom hockey goalie Noah Abbott’s sister and husband die in a car crash leaving him to raise his niece, Vivian. Three years later, he is still grieving and has been a devoted parent who has always put Vivian first. He meets bookstore owner/author Molly Campbell, who has also suffered a loss. The two hit it off and have amazing chemistry. There are some interesting twists to the story that cause issues.

FLOPPER is a heartwarming and emotional read. The characters are lovable and dynamic. They both have a love of books. They have both struggled with loss. The story covers grief and moving on. The novel also has happy and humorous moments. I love Vivian’s love of gnomes. FLOPPER covers the gamut in emotions. It is skillfully written and thought-provoking. I recommend this story to people who enjoy sports romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
