My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Sarina Bowen is heating things up with LOVE LESSONS (Brooklyn #7). Ian Crikey has been dealing with several issues, including having nightmares about inflicting an opponent with a career-ending injury. Management has asked him to work on improving his image, including his wardrobe. Enter his next-door neighbor, Vera Vestini. She recently started a personal stylist business. We met her in book 6, SHENANIGANS. She is Neil Drake’s stylist. Vera hired Charlotte (Charli) Higgins (also from SHENANIGANS) to do make up for her clients. The two quickly became friends; thus, inviting her on the trip to Italy at Neil’s villa with his teammates. Vera and Ian are the only two that are not coupled up. So naturally they begin to hang out despite their constant bickering. They strike a deal. Vera will help him with his wardrobe in exchange for lessons in seduction.
LOVE LESSONS is a fun story. I enjoyed Vera an Ian’s chemistry. Their bickering was entertaining. As they get to know each other, they open to each other and grow. The story is skillfully written and entertaining. It has a great plot with interesting twists. It is a perfect addition to the Brooklyn series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
