Christine Feehan heats things up with SHADOW FIRE (Shadow Riders #7). In this story, Chicago Shadow Rider Elie Archambault, agrees to an arranged marriage with another Shadow Rider after foolishly losing the woman who was his other half. He accepts the marriage to have a partner and produce children. He does not expect to fall in love with his appointed bride.
Christine Feehan does an amazing job with this story. It was thrilling from start to finish. The story continued with the investigation and attempts to eliminate the human trafficking from the previous book, SHADOW STORM. I love how Brielle Couture fits into the story. She is an incredible character and excellent fit for Elie. Elie and Brielle have a scorching chemistry. They are both into kink and are the perfect fit for each other.
I appreciated that they got a second chance at happiness. Elie and Brielle came from toxic families. I think the timing was right for them to get together. They needed the love and acceptance of the Ferraro family. Followers of the Shadow Rider series will not want to miss this book. It was skillfully written and attention grabbing throughout. I recommend this series to people who enjoy paranormal romances with an element of crime. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
