The Darkest Destiny (Lords of the Underworld #15.5) by Gena Showalter Review

The Darkest Destiny (Lords of the Underworld, #15.5)The Darkest Destiny by Gena Showalter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Gena Showalter is heating things up with THE DARKEST DESTINY (Lords of the Underworld #15.5). Forsaken, Brochan the Undeterred has found his mate, Viola, goddess of the Afterlife/Keeper of the demon of Narcissism. Unfortunately, she stole his brother McCadden’s immortality to feed her pet Tanmanian Devil, Fluffy. Brochan vowed revenge upon Viola, hunting her relentlessly.

Brachan and Viola are an entertaining couple. The things that come out of Viola’s mouth had me grinning. Brochan raised his younger brother, McCadden, thinking of him as his child. When McCadden lost his immortality, Brochan a former Sent One fell becoming a Forsaken. Similarly, Viola treated Fluffy like her child. She stole immortality from others; feeding it to Fluffy to maintain his life.

Gena Showalter did a fantastic job with this story. It is creative and skillfully written. The characters grow. It frequently had me laughing out loud. THE DARKEST DESTINY is an excellent addition to the Lords of the Underworld series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
