Kat Mizera is a champion with KNIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS (Romancing the Rink #4). Expansion NHL team owner, Remington (Remy) Knight, just inherited a hockey rink in Garland Grove, British Columbia. He visits the rink thinking he is going to put it up for sale, then visit his family in Vancouver for Christmas. After going to the rink where he learned to play hockey and meeting Noelle Burrier, the down on her luck concession stand employee, he decides to spend some in Garland Grove. Discovering if the legend of skating on the outdoor rink during the holidays and falling in love is true.
Kat Mizera does an amazing job with this story. I love Remy and Noelle. Remy is a former NHL star who had to give up playing hockey after discovering he had a heart defect. He is motivated and started a successful sporting good company and then becoming the owner of the Fort Lauderdale Knights NHL expansion team. He is focused on work. He is jaded on relationships due to his father. Noelle has had a rough time. There are not a lot of job opportunities in her small town. All she really has left is her pride. She is loved by everyone in Garland Grove and is a loyal friend. They face interesting obstacles, including living in different countries on the opposite side of the continent, and snow storms.
I love that Antoli and Tessa Petvov (Las Vegas Sidewinders #4) are in this novel. I adored the ending of this story and appreciated how it included the characters from the previous three books. I am looking forward to Kat Mizera’s upcoming Lauderdale Knights series to be released on March 22, 2022. KNIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS was a festive prequel to the series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
