Raine Thomas melts the ice with A HEART SO WILD (Atlanta Siege Hockey Romance #1). Callan Murphy is a left winger for the NHL’s newest expansion team, the Atlanta Siege. While being the wingman for his goalie, he meets Roxy Wagner. Roxy is the first woman who has held Callan’s attention. Neither one wants any distractions, but Callan decides to make an exception for Roxy and decides to pursue her.
A HEART SO WILD is an entertaining read. Roxy and Callan face some compelling obstacles in this story. Callan needs to clean up his playboy image, and he wants to focus on becoming a better hockey player. Roxy is staring a career in real estate and has some financial troubles. The real estate aspect of the story was interesting. Roxy had a lot of appealing ideas.
The characters are likable and fun. They do a lot of soul-searching and evolve throughout the story. I like that Callen becomes involved with the Center for Boys and Girls and mentors Rashied. He was an entertaining addition to the story. A HEART SO WILD is a solid start to the Atlanta Siege Hockey Romance series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
