Dirty Talker (Slayers Hockey #4) by Mira Lyn Kelly Review

Dirty Talker (Slayers Hockey, #4)Dirty Talker by Mira Lyn Kelly
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mira Lyn Kelly melts the ice with DIRTY TALKER (Slayers Hockey #4). Chicago Slayers hockey star Wade Grady gets Harlow Richards to pretend to be his fake girlfriend for ten days when going home for his brother’s wedding. After being passed up for a promotion at work, getting out of town is exactly what Harlow needs. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult readers.

I liked Harlow’s character. She is hard working and driven. She has been focused her entire life trying to gain her father’s respect. As a result, she does not have much of a personal life. After being passed up for a promotion everyone thought was hers, she decides to do something spontaneous and help Wade out with his needing a fake girlfriend predicament. After getting to know Wade and his family her priorities begin to shift. Wade is a likeable hero. He is a good guy. Every time he comes home everyone tries to set him up with a friend from high school, Kelsey. He wants to be able to focus on his brother’s wedding instead of dealing with everyone’s unwanted match making, thus the fake girlfriend.

DIRTY TALKER was heartwarming and entertaining. More than once this story had me laughing and smiling. There are some interesting twists to the story. I like how the characters went in all business and come out with feelings for each other.

DIRTY TALKER is an excellent addition to the Slayers hockey series. It could be followed as a stand-alone. I recommend this book to people who enjoy sports romances and/or fake girlfriend romance. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
