My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Kat Mizera is on a winning streak with TORE (Sidewinders: Generations #2). This is Swedish hockey player Tore Brekken’s and single mom Margot Delgado’s story. Margot is the best friend of Everly Campbell from IAN (Las Vegas Sidewinders #13). Ian (from the same book) is the friend and teammate of Tore. Tore and Margot are close friends: Margot friend-zoned Tore, despite their attraction to one another. Then they get matched together at Club Inferno’s annual Fantasy Night. Their chemistry is off the charts; however, Margot has trust issues, and Tore is not sure if he is ready to become a dad even though he adores Margot’s daughter Gracie.
I really enjoyed this story. It was skillfully written and thought provoking. Tore and Margot are both likeable characters with credible issues. I love Gracie. Margot is an amazing mom, and Tore is wonderful with Gracie. I love how the characters and timelines from Kat Mizera’s other books intertwine with this story: for example, Jamie Teller from TEMPTATION'S INFERNO and the New Year’s Day hockey game in Limaj against the Alaskan Blizzard.
Followers of Kat Mizera will not want to miss this book. I recommend this novel to people who enjoy sports romances. The story could be followed as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend reading her other books. There are a lot of crossovers, and they are all well worth the read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
