Power Play by Rosemary Willhide Review

Power PlayPower Play by Rosemary Willhide
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rosemary Willhide gets a win with POWER PLAY. To revamp his image, NHL bad boy, Zack Parker, winds up on a reality TV show called The Stars of Ballroom. He plans on not taking the show seriously and getting voted off early, until he meets his dance partner, Hannah Thorne. This story is suitable for adult readers. It takes place in Las Vegas.

Rosemary Willhide does a great job with her plot and character development. Zach and Hannah are both likable characters. Zach goes through a rough time after his parent’s death, causing him to get in trouble. Things are put into perspective for him as he discovers more about Hannah admiring her for her strength and determination. The two have amazing chemistry and depth.

The plot was entertaining and thought-provoking. Zack’s fake girlfriend, actress Kelsey Kennedy, added interesting drama to the story. Add in, Hannah’s nemesis, fellow dancer Alexis Richards, and there was never a dull moment. I thought how everything fell into place was clever.

This is the first book that I have read by Rosemary Willhide. I enjoyed her writing style. I would not mind seeing a Vegas Royals hockey series. I recommend this book to people who enjoy hockey romances and dancing reality shows. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
