Lies & Lullabies (Hush Note #1) by Sarina Bowen Review

Lies & Lullabies (Hush Note, #1)Lies & Lullabies by Sarina Bowen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sarina Bowen hits a high note with LIES & LULLABIES (Hush Note, #1). Five years ago, rock star Jonas Smith headed to in Nest Lake, Maine to get away from the media and focus on writing a new album. He befriends Kira Cassidy, having the best summer of his life. He returns five years later discovering Kira is not the only thing he left behind. LIES & LULLABIES primarily takes place in Nest Lake, Maine and Boston. This second-chance Rockstar romance is suitable for adult readers.

I adored this story. I like that it is told from both Jonas’ and Kira’s point of views. Jonas and Kira had a sweet relationship. Over a summer they became best friends. Jonas helps Kira deal with a tragedy she suffered. They were good for each other but when the summer is over Jonas leaves Kira behind, later regretting it. I love that they get a second chance, but it does not come easily. There are hurt feelings and lies to recover from.

LIES & LULLABIES is skillfully written and heartfelt. There are wonderful characters and interesting situations throughout the story. I recommend this book to people who enjoy Rockstar and second chance romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
