Penalty Counted by Camellia Tate
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Camellia Tate has a clutch performance with PENALTY COUNTED (Salt Lake Pumas Book 3). This is the story of hockey player Chase Williams and race car driver Morgan Action. This novel takes place in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is suitable for adult readers.
PENALTY COUNTED is an entertaining read. It had some role reversal where the one-night stands were concerned. Chase learned what it was like to be on the receiving end.
Chase and Morgan are a lot alike. They both are adrenaline junkies that enjoy a good time. It was appealing watching them mature. I like how their view of taking new risks changed as they developed feeling for each other. It was interesting reading the difference between when the couple communicate well and when they did not. I like how Chase handled himself with his best friend Flynn. Chase is a good guy who worried about failing his friend.
PENALTY COUNTED was a solid addition to the Salt Lake Pumas series. While characters from the other books were in this novel, it could be followed as a stand-alone. I recommend this book to people who enjoy strong female characters and sports romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
