Gloves Dropped by Camellia Tate
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Camellia Tate has a game-winner with Gloves Dropped (Salt Lake Pumas, #1). In this novel, Captain of the Salt Lake Pumas NHL team, Luke Nash, is shocked when the woman who ruined his life, El Sterling, accepts a job as the nutritionist for the team. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult readers.
This was a fabulous enemy to lover's romance. Luke and El went to the same high school and have not seen each other in years. There was an incident that changed their lives. They both have different perspectives of what happened that night. Luke has horrible food allergies; therefore, he must work closely with El who is the new nutritionist for the team. They get to know each other and question their past actions. I love how the characters evolved. They both do some soul-searching and reevaluate their history.
Gloves Dropped was skillfully written. The story was thought-provoking and had some great life lessons. I love using Alexa for cooking, so I appreciated the cooking scenes. I recommend this story to people who love sports romances, have food allergies, and/or enjoy enemies to lovers’ romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
