Power Play (Nashville Assassins: Next Generation #2) by Toni Aleo Review

Power Play (Nashville Assassins: Next Generation, #2)Power Play by Toni Aleo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Toni Aleo hits it in the net with Power Play (Nashville Assassins: Next Generation #2). Posey Adler is the new special teams’ coach. Boon Hoenes loves playing on special teams. However, Posey is not sure Boon has what it takes to keep his spot. Despite their conflict, they cannot deny their attraction to each other. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult readers.

I loved this story. Both Posey and Boon have been hurt in the past. They have confidence issues, but outsiders would never know it. They both love hockey. They are driven. They are an adorable couple. Posey has always felt that she lived in her older sister Shelli’s shadow. Now she is trying to prove herself. Boon has his own struggles. They both grow as they develop their relationship.

As always, Toni Aleo does an amazing job with this novel. The story takes an unexpected heartbreaking turn. You can’t help but fall in love with the characters. They are genuine. I love this new series. I enjoy reading about the next generation now that they are growing up. It’s fun having read about them as kids in the Assassins series and seeing how they turn out. I highly recommend this book to followers of the Assassins series and to people who enjoy sports romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
