Shattered Bonds by Faith Hunter is a thrilling addition to the Jane Yellowrock series. In this story, Jane Yellowrock is in the Appalachian Mountains where she is dealing with her magically induced cancer. After lying low she discovers that all is not as it should be in the paranormal community. Jane needs to dig deep and fight her enemy. This urban fantasy is suitable for adult readers.
Faith Hunter does a wonderful job with this story. Jane is a worthy heroine. I love her interaction with Beast. Jane has a lot of things she needs to deal with in this novel. She is smart. She is impressive at problem-solving and strategy. Shattered Bonds is skillfully written and thought-provoking. I suggest reading the other books in the series prior to reading this novel. I recommend this series to people who enjoy urban fantasies. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader's copy of this book.
