Love on the Ice: A Hockey Romance Novelette by Kerry Evelyn
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
In this story, Alexei Kriz relocates to Colorado Springs to play hockey. He is thrilled when he discovers the girl who got away is working as a figure skating instructor at his team’s home rink. Ginny Perdita gave up her Olympic figure skating dreams to raise her niece and nephew after her sister and brother-in-law die in an accent.
Love on the Ice is a feel-good second chance romance. Alexei and Ginny lose touch following meeting at the Olympics. After a chance encounter, they get a second chance. Kerry Evelyny does a nice job portraying Alexi’s Czech background and dialect. I like that both Alexi and Ginny are good with the kids. Ginny has some things she needs to consider in this story. I like that she is thoughtful about her decisions. Alexi is persistent and genuinely nice guy. I recommend this story to people who enjoy second chance sports romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
