Cold As Puck (Cold Love #1) by Violet Paige Review

Cold As Puck (Cold Love #1)Cold As Puck by Violet Paige
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

Violet Paige heats things up with Cold As Puck (Cold Love #1). NHL Goalie, Roman Sorrow, is devastated after losing game seven of the Stanley Cup. He returns home to Penny Hill, Virginia for the summer. After eight years, he is reunited with the love of his life, Sophie Fairchild; the person whose heart he broke. This second-chance sports romance is suitable for adult readers.

Cold As Puck is a heartfelt and entertaining read. Roman has a lot of dimensions. He had a tragic past that haunts him. He has secrets, and he keeps things to himself. The only person who could ever center him was Sophie, and he gave her up. I love that these two get a second chance. Sophie is an admirable heroine. She was devastated when she lost Roman. She is hardworking and strong. Sophie and Roman have an intense chemistry.

Violet Paige does a fantastic job with this story. It is well-written and engaging. Cold As Puck has interesting twists and a strong plot. It is a solid foundation for the Cold Love series. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
