I loved this story. I enjoyed the characters. They have a lot of depth. Selene Black wants to avenge the murder of her family and the Black Pine pack. She has trained as a submissive to be a vampire’s companion to get close to Lucius. However, she is alpha and has a hard time submitting. Lucius is a worthy hero. He has lived thousands of years. He’s tiered and lonely. He doesn’t trust anyone. He’s a caring Dom. He knows something is up with Selene but decides to play along with the game. The two have incredible chemistry and a lot in common. Xavier plays an interesting role in the story. He is crafty and smart.
The plot was expertly executed. There were interesting scenes and obstacles. ALPHA'S BLOOD is an exciting and worthwhile read. It is full of revenge, deceit, mystery, and passion. The story is skillfully written and hard to put down. It had a wonderful ending that felt well concluded. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
