Wings of Flesh and Bones by Cathrina Constantine Review

Wings of Flesh and BonesWings of Flesh and Bones by Cathrina Constantine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cathrina Constantine’s WINGS OF FLESH AND BONES is a thrilling and enjoyable read for young adults. Seventeen-year-old gatekeeper, Rogan, is kidnaped while on a mission. She discovers the truth about her past and needs to make life-changing decisions along the way. This novel is a contemporary fantasy.

WINGS OF FLESH AND BONES is a creative story. Castle oversees a group of young adults that are training to become guardians. They are part angel. Their job is to protect the realms.

One of the main characters, Rogan, is Castle's niece. She is kidnapped by a witch named Portia. She discovers a lot about herself throughout her ordeal. Things have been kept from her because she needs to make her own decisions.

Rogan’s mentor, an angel named Max, lead her into the ambush where she was kidnapped. He is distraught and determined to rescue her.

The plot was exciting and skillfully executed. The main characters are dimensional and grow throughout the novel. There are a lot of mystery and twists to the story. You don’t always know who is trustworthy. WINGS OF FLESH AND BONES was a heartfelt story with a great ending. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
