Dare To Love Series: Playing on a Dare by Cassandra Carr
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars
Cassandra Carr’s Playing on a Dare is a great addition to the Kindle Worlds Dare To Love Series. Professional surfer Stacy Sullivan and NHL star Danny Silko are instantly attracted to one another. However, they are at different points in their viewpoints and careers. This contemporary sports romance takes place in Miami, Florida. It is suitable for new adults and adult audiences.
Both Stacy and Danny are likable characters. Stacy is coming to the end of her surfing career and has life-changing decisions to make. Danny plays right wing for the Florida Sun hockey team and is at the prime of his career. They both have pleasant personalities and have great chemistry.
I like that Stacy and Danny met at a Miami Thunder Football game while in a skybox with some of the players’ wives.
I thought it was interesting how the hurricane and Stacey’s sister Sage’s career with the Center of Disease Control played into the story.
Cassandra Carr’s Playing on a Dare is a heartfelt and believable story. It is a story about life-changing events. At 81-pages, it is a quick and enjoyable read that is easy to finish in one sitting. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
