From the Beginning (Prescott Family 0.5) by Mignon Mykel Review

From the Beginning (Prescott Family, #0.5)From the Beginning by Mignon Mykel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

FROM THE BEGINNING by Mignon Mykel is an excellent prequel to the Prescott Family Series. The story about how the Prescott Family’s parents met got me hooked, wanting to continue following the series. Ryleigh Scott was talked into giving her hockey crush, Noah Prescott, a note. Little did she know what events it would trigger. This contemporary sports romance is appropriate for new adult and adult audiences.

From the Beginning is a sweet story. It takes place while Noah is playing in the AHL for the Beloit Enforcers. I like both Ryleigh and Noah. I appreciated that Ryleigh was courageous enough to give Noah the letter at the beginning of the story. She is definitely far from being a puck bunny. The story is well-written and believable. It captures many human emotions, making the reader connect to the characters. It follows the ups in downs of the couple’s early relationship. The two have great chemistry and are likeable. The novel has a nice flow becoming a fast read despite being 198 pages. I loved the ending and look forward to reading the other books in the series.
