Wild One by Alisa Woods
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Alisa Woods creates yet another amazing story with the fourth book in the Wilding Pack Wolves Series, Wild One. Shifter gang leader, Marco Wilding, is trying to stop the Wolf Hunter from attaching his pack.
He comes across she-wolf, Julia Holloway, while she is trying to help rescue one of his pack’s children from the Wolf Hunter’s men. His wolf thinks she might be “the one," conversely; Julia wants nothing to do with him. This contemporary shifter PNR is appropriate for new adult and adult audiences. The story takes place in Seattle.
Alisa Woods continues to do a wonderful job with both her plot and character development. There is a lot of background to both Julia and Marco. Both characters grow through the story and have excellent chemistry. They both have a not so great past. They both are strong, smart, and excellent leaders. They care for others and have big hearts. I like Marco’s next in command, Stephan and Isabel. They are remarkable characters that add to the narrative and struggle. Cruz is a fascinating rival whose motives are not assured adding excitement to the tale.
The plot was cleaver and unique. I love how the story connects with the other books in the series but has a distinctly different feel. I love the ending. You could follow this story on its own, but I would highly recommend reading the books in order starting with the River Pack Wolves Series then the Wilding Pack Wolves Series. All the novels are exciting, uniquely different, and fast reads. I cannot wait for the final book in the series, Wild Fire.
