Ruck me, maul me, make me scrum. Rugby is back and so is bad boy, Van Stelson. Love him or hate him, he’s decided that his brother’s happily married life might be what he’s missing. It’s cold and miserable in Colt, Ohio and the single ladies need a hot male body to heat up their long, lonely nights. But now, Van’s taking a good long look at his friend, Danny. She’s dynamite on a rugby field and his go-to partner when he needs a drinking buddy. She’s not his usual type—dainty, feminine, or curvy. She’s athletic and independent and wants nothing sexually to do with the town’s playboy. Drinking him under the table and listening to his deepest, darkest secrets is another story. Just friends. Can friendship build into something more without breaking hearts or will Van ruck it up again?
“Ruck is a quick story about not seeing what is right in front of your eyes. But for a quick read, is packed a hell of a punch.” ~ BJ’s Book Blog
“Ruck is a short and sweet 4 star read. I love a good story of friends becoming lovers and Holly S. Roberts did a great job of setting up the perfect friends to lovers couple.” ~Author Cassandra Lawson
“The author did such a great job with Van's POV you just want more. Nice little friends to more romance. Fantastic ending.” ~Goodreads Reviewer
Please welcome (Van Stelson) from Holly S. Roberts' Ruck to Diane’s Book Blog.
What is in your refrigerator right now?
At least ten different vegetables and a marinated rib-eye steak for the grill.
On your bedroom floor?
Clothes. What can I say, It's a bachelor thing.
On your nightstand?
Sports magazines and I really need to go through them and dispose of the ones I've devoured two or three times.
In your garbage can?
Trash and I'm not looking to give you an itemized list. Just think man-cave unmentionables.
Who are the people you are closest to?
My brother Joel. He's a stand-up all around great guy but please don't tell him I said so. I should also mention Danny. It's strange having a girl for a best friend but now that my brother is married she's taking over while Joel does married shit.
What is your greatest regret?
This is rather private but I need to get it out. My sister-in-law, Cami, would be my greatest regret. I had a chance at her and blew it. The best man, my brother, won that round and he deserves the girl.
Which living person do you most admire?
Again, that would be my brother Joel. He picked up the pieces after our mother died when the two of us were only teenagers. He became a man overnight and I will always admire him for putting up with me.
What is your motto?
Ruck me, Maul me, make me Scrum baby. It it ain't played with a rugby ball it ain't football.
