Lash Demon, Arawn, has devoted his life to leading the Watchers. He lost his mate in a tragedy hundreds of years prior and has not loved another. It is not until one of his Watchers, Ria, is injured, that he begins to realize he has feelings for her.

We met both Ria and Arawn in the Solsti Prophecy Series. I loved hearing their story.

Arawn is a strong a courageous commander. He is well-liked by his people. He has a secret that he worries will ruin his relationship with Ria and the respect of his team. He takes on a lot of burdens himself, which makes him a bit grumpy at times. I like that he truly cares about his people.

Ria is one of the few female Watchers. She is resilient and smart. She compliments Arawn making them a magnificent couple. They have wonderful chemistry. I couldn’t believe the outfit she had to wear on one of her missions. It definitely takes a lot of guts to go undercover.

I like that Gin and Mathias from Wicked Flame (Solsti Prophecy #3) had such an integral part in this story. It makes sense since Mathias is Ria’s brother and Gin her best friend/sister-in-law

Tainted Kiss’ plot was cleaver and exciting. The mystery and thrills never stopped making this a hard book to put down.

Sharon Kay created another creative and action-filled story in Tainted Kiss. Her characters are well-developed. The plot had a lot going on and was interesting with unexpected twists. Tainted Kiss is an excellent start to a new series.
