Bane Brooks, an alpha wolf shape-shifter, has been searching for his soul mate for years, but no one has ever stolen his heart, up until he meets Felix Michaels near his ranch. He falls head over heels in love with the hunky, shy human.
Felix Michaels is running from a mysterious gunman who wants him killed, when he falls and blacks out. When the most gorgeous shifter he’s ever seen saves him and brings him to his ranch, he knows he’s safe.
Things soon heat up between these two lovers, until Bane realizes he must mate with a shifter, not a human, to stop the Change. If he doesn’t mate with a shifter soon, he’ll turn to his wild wolf form forever. How can he love Felix, a human, but mate with a shifter?
The gunman is still out there and intent on killing Felix. Can these lovers fight off danger and the Change that threatens to tear them apart, while finding their way to a happily-ever-after?
Jordan Ashton is a writer and wife whose passion for reading romance novels led her to writing them, too. She believes love can conquer all and that it makes the world go round, not money. Her heroes, heroines, and the worlds she creates bring this belief to life. She is and will always be a true romantic at heart.

If you were stranded on a desert island
which of your characters do you want by your side?
It most definitely
would be Rowan, the two hundred year old alpha werewolf immortal from my Harbor of Lost Souls series. He’s
strong, smart, and a warrior. He’d protect me from all the wild animals and he’d
figure out a way we could survive for months or years on the island and also how
we could get rescued.
I don’t think I’d be
able to survive for long on my own, otherwise. I’m too much of a weakling and a
klutz. A city girl born and raised. J
If you could be best friends with one of
your characters, who would it be?
It would be Leo Brooks.
He’s the funny one and the middle child. He’s happy go lucky and gets along
with almost everyone, including his stubborn and controlling alpha brother,
Chandler. He’s got a huge heart and goes out of his way to help and protect his
friends and family.
What is your typical day like?
I’m a creature of
habit and a morning person. I’m usually awake at 5:30. Since I’m the most alert
and productive at this time, that’s when I write or edit a story I’m working on.
I’ll work for about five to six hours.
After that I work out for
about an hour, and then do housework. By late afternoon, I’m in my laid back mood.
I’ll catch up on correspondence, watch Days of our Lives, and cook. Nighttime
is quality time spent with my hubby and my family.
How do you overcome writer’s block?
It’s a discipline to
keep it at bay. So I make sure I write each and every day, except on weekends,
which is when I only read. And I read romantic suspense novels to help inspire
Can you share a little of your current work
I started a new series
called Mates of Nethermore. The first
story is tentatively titled A Vampire’s
Claim. The premise revolves around a dystopian world
where humans are no longer the only beings God created roaming the world. There
will also be the creatures Heaven expelled who are now looking to find
acceptance, love, and procreation. I’m having so much fun writing the first
What book are you reading now?
I’m reading The Escape by David Baldacci. It is so good. The opening hook just blew me away. This is the first book from this author I’ve ever read, but it certainly won’t be the last. I’ve become a huge fan of his work.
