Black Widow by Jennifer Estep
My rating: 4 ½ of 5 Stars
Gin Blanco has a new nemesis, Madeline Magda Monroe, and she is not going to be an easy adversary, attacking the people Gin cares about.
Black Widow was a fast pace exciting novel that kept me in suspense. I flew through this 357 page novel, not wanting to put it down.
Gin is an interesting heroine. Being an assassin she needs to be smart and cunning. Despite being a killer, she has numerous loyal friends who will do anything for her. I love that even when she is in bad situations she perseveres never giving up.
Madeline is a worthy adversary. The woman is plain evil. Unfortunately, she is also extremely intelligent. Some of the things she pulled off were insane.
The plot was riveting. Jennifer Estep did an exceptional job with the novel. There was interesting twist and a great story line. The characters are so well developed you feel fully invested in them.
Elemental Assassin would make a terrific TV series. It sort of reminds me a bit of Alias filmed back in 2001-06 which I used to love.
