She's exactly what he wants to sink his teeth into...Jordan is his pack's Alpha dog. The Big Bad Wolf. And after his last breakup, he's opting to be the lone wolf, too. But then his rival's little sister—a human, of all creatures—comes to his door. And suddenly, what should be a tasty little snack turns out to be something more than Jordan could ever imagine...Christa is simply looking for a place to stay. Yet the dark shifter smells irresistibly like forever. But getting involved with the wolf who tried to kill her brother—twice—is lunacy. Besides, in the unforgiving, shadowed world of shifters, there is no room for weakness. And falling for her family’s enemy won't just be her downfall...it will be his, too.

“Woman, you play dirty pool.”
“Oh, you heard that about me, huh? And here I was hoping to take you on
that pool table in your house.”
“Maybe I’ll take you on that pool table instead.”
Her body flushed with heat, and her heart beat faster at that visual.
“Mmm, Christa, you make it hard for a guy to concentrate.” He lowered his
voice. “I can hear you breathing faster—and you probably smell good enough to
eat.”
That definitely didn’t slow down her heart rate.
Author Bio
Wendy Sparrow has been telling tales since she was a child with varying amounts of success. Her parents clearly anticipated her forays into the paranormal because she heard “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” so many times she could have written the screenplay at age five. She lives with a wonderful husband, two amazing kids, and a husky/lab (that has been told he looks much like a wolf) in Washington State. Wendy is active in Autism and OCD support networks and often blogs about both on her website. She can usually be found on Twitter where she’ll talk to anyone who talks to her and occasionally just to herself.

Interview
Please welcome This Weakness For You author Wendy Sparrow to Diane’s Book Blog.
What
is your favorite part of the story, This Weakness For You?
My favorite part would have to be when Christa and Jordan are
talking on the phone and she tells him he has to give her nine reasons to stay
while he’s gone or she’s taking off for Mexico. Jordan knows he’s a wolf in the
doghouse and puts it all out there. It’s both sweet and romantic.
How
long did it take you to write This Weakness For You?
I was writing the book prior to this, Past My Defenses, for
National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) two years ago and I got to the end and
my alpha side character…I’d just ruined his life. Poor Jordan was beaten. So
while I was still finishing up the end of Past My Defenses, I started This
Weakness for You and I think it took me about two weeks because I couldn’t seem
to stop writing. It’s gone through many, many revisions, but the first draft
was written at a rabid pace.
If
you could be best friends with one of your characters, who would it be?
Christa. Her personality is a lot like mine. I can imagine us
being friends. I’d have to take LOADS of Benadryl to hang out with her and her
cat, but my actual BFF has a cat so that’s nothing new.
What
inspired you to write your first book?
I’m extremely susceptible to dares at times. And my brother said,
“I bet you could write a novel if you tried.” That was six years ago and I
haven’t stopped writing since.
What
is your typical day like?
Well, I’m not a morning person, at all, but I get up and help my
kids get ready for elementary and junior high. Then, I either work on revisions
or write or…goof off on Twitter for hours. (Twitter, how I hate/love you.)
Sometimes, I clean…but not if I can help it. A few times a week, I head to the
gym and hit the treadmills. (Exercise is a writer’s best friend.) Then, I pick
up the kids and I’m busy with them generally until their bedtime. I’m typically
an insomniac and I’m usually up working on writing-related stuff in my quiet
house until the wee hours…or I’m on Twitter. (Twitter, I wish I could quit
you.) (No, I don’t.)
Can
you share a little of your current work with us?
It’s NaNoWriMo time again so I’m working on the sequel to a
novella I have out called “Stealing Time” that is about Father Time’s son.
Here’s an excerpt of “Taking Time”:
“I’m riding back with you.” His eyes narrowed. “Actually, I’m
driving.”
“Why?” If she had to be shut up in her little compact with him for
hours, she deserved to know why.
“Because the Fates could try to kill you at any time, and I don’t
want to have to commute to stop them.”
“I’d hate to inconvenience you with my near-death experiences.”
He held his hands up. “We’re going to be seeing quite a lot of
each other in the next year. We should at least try to get along.”
“Fine.” It wasn’t fine of course. She was just saying that. He’d
assume she was fine because he was a moron incapable of sensing her feelings on
this whole thing. How she could be so attracted to him when he was just biding
his time until he could kill her… It could be a matter of days or weeks before
he lost interest in saving her life and let her die a pointless death. The odds
that she’d make it to New Year’s seemed slim.
What
do you prefer paperback, hardcover, or ebooks?
Ebooks. All the way. I read so much that my house would be overrun
with books. Plus, I can drag my entire library everywhere I go with my ereader.
Also, and this is weird, the texture of printed books hits my OCD aversion
list. It makes me twitchy.
Do
you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
I hope you have a weakness for funny and charming
paranormals and you’ll give This Weakness for You a chance.
Thanks for having me on your blog!
