The touching and heartwarming fourth novel in the wildly popular Not Quite series from New York Times bestselling author Catherine Bybee.

Romance author Dakota Laurens believes that happily-ever-afters exist only between the covers of her sexy novels. But to her surprise, she finds a real-life hero when she meets a handsome emergency room doctor. The outspoken author feels an instant and intense attraction to Dr. Walt Eddy, and the feeling is mutual. When the globetrotting doctor pulls a disappearing act on Dakota, she’s prepared to write him off…until fate brings a blindsiding twist to her story.

Still scarred from a past tragedy, Walt may have disappeared on Dakota, but now he’s determined to win her back. For the first time in years, he knows he’s ready for a new chance at love. Yet between Dakota’s doubts and two sets of meddling parents, can the once-blissful couple finally create the bright, loving future they desperately want?

Interview

Please welcome  Not Quite Series author Catherine Bybee to Diane's Book Blog.

What is your favorite part of the story, Not Quite Forever?

CB:  I love it when Walt first approaches Dakota at the convention…and later when she searches him out to offer him a drink.

How long did it take you to write Not Quite Forever?

CB: It takes me about three months to finish a novel, give or take a couple of weeks.

If you were stranded on a desert island which of your characters do you want by your side?

CB:  Walt…at least from this series. I think having a doctor close by would be handy.

If you could be best friends with one of your characters, who would it be?

CB:  All of my heroes and heroines. I think I’d skip the bad guys.

What's your favorite book-turned movie?

CB: Romancing the Stone

What is your typical day like?

CB: I start at Boot Camp so I can sit at my desk the rest of the day and not become the size of a house…then I respond to all of my email, write up interviews like this one… talk to my assistant…order and come up with new swag etc. Then, I start writing. My best writing happens after dinner. Not sure why, but that’s when I get the most done.

Can you share a little of your current work with us?

CB: I could, but then I’d have to shoot you. So, no. *Grin*

What book are you reading now?

CB: Nothing… I’m writing!

What do you prefer paperback, hardcover, or ebooks?

CB: Yes, yes and yes. But ebooks are easier these days…and cost a whole lot less.
