LeKrista never thought Roman would kidnap her, but it seems there's no depth to which he won't stoop. She's stuck in a fortress in the middle of only God knows where with no way to contact her family or her new fiance and let them know she's alright.
To add insult to injury, Roman has brought her arch nemesis to keep her company. Forced to make friends with Eddy, the man who has made her life miserable for years, she bides her time until a rescue can be arranged.
But unrealized feelings for her vampire captor make things complicated. Or perhaps it's Stockholm Syndrome. She can't really be sure.
Just to make matters worse, the vampires are ready to go through with their plan to rule the world with an iron fang, and once again, she's caught in the middle of the war for power. The truth of her involvement is becoming clear, but she may lose more than her freedom in her quest to stop the the powerful undead on her own.

Excerpt:
I sighed and pushed the door open. I looked to the other side of the room, and quickly realized what a mistake that was. Roman stood in the middle of the floor, a black towel slung low around his hips. And that was all he wore. Water droplets rolled off the ends of his hair and down his neck and chest. His eyes burned, begging me to say something, but I couldn't. I just stood there, staring like a lust-struck idiot. My mouth went dry and my brain went dumb.
Roman didn't speak. He just stood there waiting for something. I didn't know what. There was a shirt in his hand, but he made no move to put it on.
I squatted down to scoop Arbidicus up, my eyes never leaving the vampire.
Dear god in heaven, that towel is barely hanging on.
His bicep twitched, drawing my eyes there instead of the v of muscle that disappeared into the towel. Roman cleared his throat.
The sheets on the bed moved. I thought it was a vampire trick until I saw the tousle-haired girl sit up. The sheets fell away from her body, baring her naked breasts. I'd met her before. Her name was Rachel.
"Oh, my god."
I snatched up Arby and ran for the door, slamming it behind me as I escaped back to my room. I dropped the dog on the bed and slid under the covers. I pressed my face to my pillow. Only then did I realize that I was crying. Was I really that selfish that I didn't want to be with Roman, but I didn't want him to be with anyone else? Was I such a diva that I liked the attention he gave me and thought he wouldn't mess with anyone else?
"You're so stupid, Scott," I told myself. "What the hell is wrong with you?"
I felt Roman tentatively on the fringes of my mind. I tried to shove him away, but he hovered there, carefully trying to get a feel for my emotions.
"I was not trying to hurt you, my sweet. I am sorry."
I didn't reply. I closed my eyes tight and tried to ignore him. Roman didn't push it, but he didn't leave either.

LeKrista Scott survived three separate vampire attacks, almost drowned, and turned down her boyfriend's proposal. What else could possibly go wrong?
Apparently, if it's not one thing, it's another. Lizette, a brand new vampire with a grudge, blames LeKrista for being turned into a monster. In retaliation, she decides to go straight for the throat, so to speak, and attack LK's ailing mother at her rest home. LeKrista enlists the help of her "Vampire liason" Roman, but it could never be that easy. Not for her.
A daywalker, a born vampire who can walk in the sun, has been hired by the head of the Vampire Counsel to collect LeKrista and the debt she owes him. As payment, her great great aunt is taken. Once again, the Mages refuse to help, so what is a girl to do, but rescue her family herself?
With her back against the wall, LeKrista will rise up stronger and teach the preternatural world to fear the Vampire Hunted.

Interview:
Please welcome Conquered author Tyffani Clark Kemp to Diane's Book Blog.
What is your favorite part of the story, Conquered: Vampire Hunted #3?
Any part that Roman and LeKrista are going at each other like an old married couple. I also like it when Roman points out that LK really has deep feelings for him. She’s in such deep denial. I love it.
How long did it take you to write Conquered?
Way too long. Over a year? I’m not entirely sure, but it doesn’t usually take me that long.
If you were stranded on a desert island which of your characters do you want by your side?
Roman or Pierce or both. lol Actually, if I could have a man harem of all the male characters...I could live like that. lol
If you could be best friends with one of your characters, who would it be?
Tate. I love her.
What is your favorite book that you wrote?
That’s an impossible question! I have to pick one?! I’ll go with Beast Within. It’s a modern paranormal twist on Beauty and The Beast. I wrote it in a week. That story still makes me happy. =)
Who or what inspired you to be a writer?
I had a teacher in sixth grade who had us write in journals. We were supposed to write for ten minutes, but I always ended up having to take my journal home to finish.
What is your typical day like?
Oversleep, get coffee even though I’m alergic, sit down, promote, write (aka procrastinate writing until the last possible moment) watch anime like it’s air and I’m drowning. lol
How do you overcome writer’s block?
Get up. Go somewhere or do something else.
Can you share a little of your current work with us?
***(This is from The Power Couple, third in my Without Rules series releasing Sept 11.)***
“There’s something you need to know," he told her. “She has very large breasts."
Mariss snorted. “You think I’m going to be intimidated by her boobs? I’ve never had any complaints."
Sebastian shrugged. “I tried to warn you."
Mariss pushed her lips out and stared at him through one eye. “How large are we talking?" She cupped her hands at her chest, then moved them outward waiting for him to answer.
“They weigh about eighteen pounds each."
“Are you kidding me? That’s like…“ She cupped her arms in front of her chest trying to figure it out. After a moment, she gave up, but not before he was laughing at her. “Sebastian, that’s huge!"
What book are you reading now?
Dust & Decay by Jonathan Maberry
