Author interview:

What is your favorite part of the Collective Series?

I have so many parts that I love in all of the Collective books. In Forget Me not though, it would have to be when Anamae is using a telcom (telecommunications device that works like telepathy) for the first time. The boys torment her because the thoughts she accidently sends are a little amusing -- for them, embarrassing for her.  The banter is a bit fun.

How long did it take you to write
Forget Me Not ?

Forget Me Not took roughly eight weeks to write. I wrote in every scrap of time I could steal and thought about the story when I wasn’t writing. It was almost all consuming. But then it took a few months to revise and iron the story out into a polished product.

If you were stranded on a desert island which of your characters do you want by your side?

Jax. Purely for entertainment purposes.  ;)

If you could be best friends with one of your characters, who would it be?

Definitely Lilly. She’s fun, bubbly and wouldn’t put up with my rubbish, because she always calls it like it is.

What is your favorite book that you wrote?

That is a really tough question. I love all of my books for different reasons. Remember Me (book 2) was probably the most fun to write though. The dynamics between the characters had grown since Forget Me Not and there are a few new characters who mix things up. Plus there were more action scenes and more kissing. Both things I love to write.

Can you share a little of your current work with us?

I sure can. I’m working on the third book in the Collective Series at the moment. Here’s a little section that hopefully is spoiler free. Also, note this is a draft so things may change. ;)

Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?

Thank you! I’m so grateful to every single person that decides meeting Anamae and co might be fun.  And I’m thankful for you spending your precious time on reading my stories.

Character Interview:

Please welcome Anamae from Stacey Nash Collective series:

What is your name? Do you have a nickname?

Anamae, but I’m often called Mae.

What is your hair color? Eye color?

Boring brown and weird grey-blue.

How old are you?

Seventeen.

What was the best part about coming back for a sequel?

The best part? There was no best part, if you call being hunted, taunted, and beaten by Manvyke a good time, then I guess the best part was trying to get away.

What is your biggest fear?

Losing my family, and by that I mean Dad and Will. Technically we’re not related, but Will … he’s important.  And since Mom vanished, there’s only been Dad and I. I couldn’t bear to lose either one of them.

What is your most treasured possession?

A necklace and pendant that belonged to my mother. It looks sort of like a forget-me-not, you know the little blue flowers. Except it’s about as big as a quarter and it’s tech, so it comes in pretty handy when I need to pop out of visibility.

What is your motto?

You can’t help someone who doesn’t help themselves.  And by that, I mean I’m not going to sit around waiting for someone to help me. That may never happen. If you want something, it’s up to you to make it happen.
