Wolf Bond by Mina Carter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Wolf Bond (Lyric Hounds #2/ 1NightStand #183) by Mina Carter
Wolf Bond is the second book in the Lyric Hounds Series and 183rd in the 1NightStand Series. The latter being comprised of various authors in the same universe were Madame Eve arranges “one-night stands" that seems to last a lot longer than an evening. Each book can be read individually.
What goes around comes around. Barrett Simmons set up his sister Melody in Book one of the Lyric Hounds. Melody returned the favor in book two. For two years, Barrett has been mourning the loss of the woman he loved who died while killed in action. His heart is broken, feeling he will never overcome her death.
For two years, werewolf Saxon Reeves, has suffered from amnesia after a terrible car crash. She has dreams of a soldier. Her family wants to force her to mate with someone she does not love. She arranges a night with Madame Eva hoping to find her soldier.
I love Barrett and Saxon. They are both strong characters that have endured a lot. They fight for what they want and have loyal hearts. They are meant to have a “Chance meeting.”
I also appreciate that Mina Carter gave up a little update on Melody and Aaron.
This is such a great story. Mina Carter does an exceptional job with the Lyric Hounds short stories. They are so rich with detail and excitement. The best part is you can read it in one sitting and feel completely fulfilled.
