Interference (Prescott Family #1) by Mignon Mykel Review

Interference (Prescott Family, #1)Interference by Mignon Mykel
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mignon Mykel’s INTERFERENCE is a spectacular addition to the Prescott Family Series. I loved this story. NHL forward Caleb Prescott is talked into being the new eligible bachelor of a dating show by the cute casting assistant, Sydney Meadows. However, none of the girls hold his attention like Sydney, causing issues on the show. This contemporary romance is suitable for new adult and adult audiences. The story primarily takes place in Hawaii, with additional scenes in California, Utah, and Wisconsin.

I love Caleb. He is the second oldest child of Ryleigh and Noah Prescott whose story was told in FROM THE BEGINNING (Prescott Family 0.5). If you haven’t read the story, I do recommend it, but it is not necessary to read it to follow INTERFERENCE. Caleb and his brother Jonny are both playing on the same team that their father played on, the San Diego Enforcers. Despite being one of the league’s best players, Caleb is very down to earth and low profile off the ice. He is very persistent and observant.

Sydney is great. Being a perfectionist, she is very organized and loves lists. She is a sweet person. She is a little thing, especially when standing next to Caleb. She is the youngest of four and the only girl, so she understands boys. Her brothers are very protective of her.

Caleb and Sydney make a really cute couple. They have great chemistry. They love to laugh. They are adventurous. They enjoy similar things. They both have great families and akin values.

The plot was clever and entertaining. There were some drawing conflicts that occurred in the story that created obstacles for the couple. The producer of the show, Tony Cruz, is a bit of a slime ball, but he keeps the story interesting. The novel was believable and attention grabbing. I could not put this story down. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

  1. Thank you so much for your support and review, Diane!! Trouble Maker will be out October 3 :) While not a HEA, it does give a bit more insight to the youngest Prescott.
