Not only was Jessica McClain born the only female of the werewolves but the first Lycan seen in thousands of years. Shortly after her birth, the Cain Prophecy surfaced. Adolescence went by without Jessica shifting so the wolves became less wary of her. However, still being feared she decides to leave the compound where her father is Alpha and assume the identity of investigator Molly Hannon. Unexpectedly ten years later, at the age of twenty-six, Jessica shifts for the first time. Now not just the wolves but all supernaturals are interested in Jessica.
I loved this book. I was happily reading along, suddenly I looked at my clock to see it was 4 a.m. I just couldn’t put the book down, and it was worth being tired the next day. It is fast paced with never a dull moment. Amanda Carlson does a wonderful job with book one in the series.
