Meet Katie Kenyhercz

I've been writing since I was twelve! It started with X-Files fan fiction, branched into contemporary romance, and finally blossomed into hockey romance. A weird progression, I know. Everyone always said, "Write what you love." I'm a hopeless romantic who loves hockey, so there you go.

I have a BA in Professional Writing and Editing, a MA in English, and an MFA in the Writing of Popular Fiction. On the Fly was my thesis novel, and all books have been published through Crimson Romance. 

While hockey is my true love and the focus of my writing life at present, I'm also into urban fantasy and may experiment with that in the future.

Interview 

Please welcome Las Vegas Sinners author Katherine Kenyhercz to Diane’s Book Blog.

What is your favorite part of the Las Vegas Sinners series? 

While all of the books in the series can stand alone, what I love most is the relationships that show up throughout the series. All of the characters are tied together by blood, marriage, or friendship, and you see old favorites show up in later books. All of the characters really are one big family, and the foundation of love and connectedness is strong.

If you were stranded on a desert island which of your characters do you want by your side?

Olivia Parker from Fair Trade because she’s a physician and probably my best shot at surviving! All of my heroines are brainy beauties in one form or another, but Olivia takes the cake.

What do you prefer paperback, hardcover, or ebooks? 

Usually paperback. I like something I can hold in my hands—especially when it’s one of my own books! I have my very super favorites in hardcover (my absolute fav is a leather-bound first edition), but I don’t read many e-books. I spend so much time staring at a glowing screen to write and edit, I can’t read that way, too J

What do you love most about hockey? 

I love the brotherhood of it. Players are friends on and off ice and are willing to literally fight for each other. They hug after every goal and dog pile after very big wins. I love how every player skates over to touch helmets with the goalie after a victory, making sure to include him and congratulate him. It’s such an inclusive, passionate sport, and the love is visible.

Who is you favorite real life hockey team? 

The Pittsburgh Penguins! Let’s Go Pens!

Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
