Amber Ella Monroe creates an excellent foundation for the Dresdan Coven Series with Prelude. Elaina was a vampire tracker for District 5. Vicq is a Dresdan vampire. Both questioned the groups they were affiliated with and left, becoming targets of those circles. This Paranormal Vampire story is suitable for adult audiences.
Amber Ella Monroe did a great job with the development and history of the characters. This fast-paced story was interesting with a unique feel. I enjoyed the writing style and plot. It had compelling conflicts with formidable antagonists. The ending really left me wanting to read the next book to find out what happens.
