Waking the Dragon by Juliette Cross
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
College reporter and human, Moira Cade, investigates the recent murder of three human women who points to Morgan men as the culprits. Kol Moonring, Captain of the Morgon Guard, assists her with the investigation and sparks fly.
Waking the Dragon is a fast-paced and exciting book that held me captivated.
I had a lot of respect for Moira. She is strong-willed and intelligent. When put in perilous situations, she keeps a level head. She is a worthy heroine who is very likeable.
Kol is great. He is powerful and very alpha. He is very determined and impressive. The chemistry between him and Moira is intense and fun to read about.
I enjoyed the plot. It was full of surprises. There was a lot of information and details that kept the story intriguing. Juliette Cross does a phenomenal job in creating a believable world.
Waking the Dragon is a spin-off from the Nightwing Series. I love that Sorcha, Lorian, Jessen, and Lucius are such an integral part of this book. I also enjoyed getting to know Kol’s siblings.
Waking the Dragon is a great book for fans of the Nightwing Series, dragon hybrids, action, and paranormal. I really enjoyed this book and will continue the series.
