Highland Wolf Pact by Selena Kitt Review

Highland Wolf PactHighland Wolf Pact by Selena Kitt
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 ½ of 5 stars

Sibyl Blackthorne is sold into a marriage to one of the cruelest men of Scotland, Alistair, Laird Lachlan MacFalon. While on a hunt for wulvers, Sibyl attempts to escape her intended marriage with the help of, Raife, a man she meets while on the hunt, but Raife isn’t exactly a man, he’s a wulver, better known as a werewolf.

Sibyl is a brave and worthy heroine. I like that her dad taught her useful skills like properly riding a horse and knowledge about plant life. As a result, she can fend for herself and be a stronger person in a society and time that does not value female independence.

Raife is a commendable leader. He tries to do what he feels is best for his pack. He is strong and caring. I found his history intriguing and original.

Selena Kitt did an exceptional job with character development. There are a lot of individuals in this book, all are interesting and well-thought-out. The emotional aspects of this novel are all understandable and considered. Kitt did a great job with the Scottish brogue. I like that Sibyl started to pick one up by the end of the book. After living there so long, that would likely happen.

The plot was fascinating. The historical aspects were finely honed. The story was well-written and believable. Highland Wolf has the perfect balance historic fiction and paranormal romance. I was happy to learn there will be a sequel.
