Heart of a Champion is a great anthology for sports romance lovers. If you love hockey, football, and/or baseball you should enjoy this book. Personally, I am a hockeyoholic. I actually already read both hockey books as a stand-alone before getting this box set. That’s okay because I’m a re-reader, and I love Cassandra Carr and Kelly Jamieson. Plus, both stories are definitely worthy of being revisited.
I love anthologies because they allow me the safety of reading authors I revere while exposing me to new writers. I was glad to discover Roz Lee, Morgan Kearns, & Chanta Rand. Occasionally, I will expand my horizons and read a football book, but I admit I’m not so good about picking up baseball stories. I will confess – I liked them. You have to love an athlete or in this case a few.
All the stories are well written with good plots. They are heartwarming and entertaining. Even though they have a common sports theme, the stories are different and kept me interested. This is a great box set to add to your sports romance collection.
