The shape-shifters known as the Ikati send Hawk Luna to seduce and blackmail the reporter into writing a retraction.
Darkness Bound was amazing. It had me captivated from the first page. The story was unique and well written.
At first, I didn’t want to like Jack because of the article she wrote. The piece is in the Prologue, and it is pretty harsh. However, the more you discover about her; she becomes a commendable and self-sacrificing heroine, not to mention extremely likeable.
Hawk was the perfect shifter to send to seduce her. He is a strong alpha but always felt like he was an outsider. The two actually have a lot in common. I love that Hawk stands up for what he believes in and doesn’t back down, even if it means his punishment.
As the two are forced to live with each other, they discover the other’s true personalities. The dialog and plot are so interesting it was next to impossible to put down.
J.T. Geissinger is a phenomenal writer. She makes visualizing easy. She does a fantastic job with character development. I enjoyed that previous characters from the series are included, especially Morgan, who played a key role in this book.
If you love paranormal romances and haven’t read the Night Prowler Series, I highly suggest giving it a try. The series definitely builds so I would read the books in order. If you’re an existing fan, you will want to continue reading the series because it is astounding, and the story keeps intensifying. I can’t imagine what is going to happen next.
