Icebreaker (Gamebreakers #1) by Elise Faber & Kat Mizera Review

Icebreaker (Gamebreakers #1)Icebreaker by Kat Mizera
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Elise Faber and Kat Mizera score with ICEBREAKER (Gamebreakers #1). Captain of the Southern California Vipers Banks Christianson and his closest friends/business partners Atlas, Royal, and Dash get together to honor the anniversary of the passing of their friend Colt. While he is at their club, The Sapphire Room, Banks is intrigued by their new bartender, Aspen Rockwell. Aspen makes it clear she is not interested, but Banks is persistent in winning her over.

I have been a fan of both Elise Faber and Kat Mizera. They collaborate well together. They did an excellent job with the first book in the Gamebreakers series. The Sapphire Room’s signature drink is called a Gamebreaker, hence the name of the series.

I like Aspen and Banks. Aspen past relationships have not been great. She has no desire to get into a relationship. Plus, she is hiding from her past. Banks had been in a hockey slump. He first meets Aspen at the arena. They did not hit it off. I enjoyed their banter. Banks is a good guy. I enjoyed his quest to win Aspen over. The characters face interesting situations throughout the novel.

Elise Faber and Kat Mizera did a fantastic job with ICEBREAKER (Gamebreakers #1). It is skillfully written and entertaining. I am looking forward to book two, HEARTBREAKERS. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
