Biography
Stephanie Keyes is the author of the YA Fantasy series, The
Star Child, which currently includes The Star Child, After Faerie, The Fallen
Stars, and the soon to-be-released finale, The Star Catcher (November 2013),
all from by Inkspell Publishing. Mrs. Keyes is hard at work on a new YA
Paranormal Romance.
Mrs. Keyes holds an undergraduate degree in Business and
Management Information Systems from Robert Morris University and a M.Ed. from
Duquesne University. She is a member of the Society For Children’s Book Writers
and Illustrators (SCBWI), as well as a featured author in the global group of

I would like to welcome Stephanie Keyes author of The Star Catcher to Diane's Book Blog.
What is your favorite part of the Star Child series?
I loved writing the scene in The Star Catcher where Gabe and Singer
go into the organ loft in St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin. I had a blast
writing that scene.
How long did it take you to write The Star
Catcher?
I wrote the first draft of The Star Catcher in about twelve weeks.
It helped that I worked on part of it during 2012’s NaNoWriMo. It was an insane
time. I worked on rewrites for another four months after that.
If you could be best friends with one of your
characters, who would it be?
Kellen. He and I share
a lot of the same personality traits. Plus, he’s a writer, too. J
What's your favorite book-turned movie?
Harry Potter and
The Deathly Hallows
What do you prefer paperback, hardcover, or
ebooks?
If you’d asked me a year ago, I would
have said paper. Then my husband bought me a Kindle. Now I am totally addicted
to ebooks. Occasionally, I’ll go back but I am a gadget freak anyway so it was
only a matter of time.

How old are you?
Seventeen.
Who are the people you are closest to?
My fiancée Cali, my best friend, Gabe, my Grandfather, Alistair.
What or who is the greatest love of your life?
Cali. It’s always been Calienta.
Which living person do you most despise?
Ainmire. He’s a sick piece of crap and he’s going down.
What is your greatest regret?
That I couldn’t save my mom.
Which talent would you most like to have?
I’d like to be able to peel an apple in a single strand.
